Self Worth
I haven't blogged FOREVER because I have been so lazy at it lol. But I just feel like I need to write something and just get things off my mind so this is going to be a vent/pouring-out-my-soul type of a post :).
I have struggled throughout my life with feeling like I have no value to anyone: especially myself. I was able to overcome a lot of those issues when I was younger but I feel like I am struggling again. I started thinking about this today as I was snuggling with little Paxton and I have no idea why the thought popped in my mind. I am struggling with self esteem and self worth issues; just like I was when I was 16. I remember going through therapy but honestly I can't remember the things that we talked about to help me get better and feel better about myself. I googled LDS services and found a link for therapy under self esteem/self worth. When I clicked on the link I found all of these articles on how to improve your self esteem and self worth. I started reading them and realized what my problem is: I don't have as strong of a relationship with my Heavenly Father like I gained when I was recovering from all of my issues. I think that when I was struggling I needed him so much and when I got better I have forgotten how much I need him every day in my life even when I am not struggling.
So.... I started to think about personal goals and things that I need to do to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father:
1. Read the scriptures
2. Go to the Temple
3. Have Family Home Evening
4. Pray more with Josh
5. Go to all 3 hours of church
It is going to be hard and I know that it will but I am tired of feeling like I am. It is so hard to have so much happiness in my life (Joshy and Paxton) and to feel not so great about myself.
Now, onto the venting part of this post and maybe some more goals ;). I am TIRED of drama and TIRED of gossip!! This is something that so many women do INCLUDING myself and I am so tired of it! This past week I was talking with someone about some things and things were said that someone else said about me and it hurt my feelings a lot! I don't know why we all have to gossip about each other! It is so petty and I am such a hypocrite because I do it too. No good comes from it and it sure made me feel like crap. There were a couple girls that I knew growing up who hardly ever gossiped about anyone and they had so many friends because of it. Why do I gossip? Probably because of jealousy I am sure and because talking about someone elses problems makes mine seem smaller (which is totally stupid really because talking about other people doesn't make me feel good at all). So naturally I googled lds.org about gossiping for ways to stop here they are if you want to look for yourself. Man, everything that it said are completely true!! I hate gossip and hate when people talk about me. No I can't control what people say about me but I can control talking about others which leads me to another goal:
STOP GOSSIPING!!
There it is! I need to stop and I am sure that will help me feel better about myself as well.

Paxton's Blessing
On Sunday the 7th of November we blessed our little man. He was so cute and was able to wear his daddies baby blessing outfit. I am so grateful for Josh and that he is able to hold the priesthood to bless our little boy. I love Josh so much and he is such a proud daddy. Here are some pictures of the event:
Great Grandparents
Cousin Taylee meeting Paxton
Halloween
Here are some pics of Halloween and pumpkin carving. My little man was a lion, he was so cute :).
My Nephew Max
Sister in Law Krystal and Nephew Ryker
He fell asleep on my shoulder lol
Our niece Brooklynn
Cousins: they are 3 months apart
Happy Boy!
My little man is 8 weeks tomorrow and I can't believe it! I absolutely love watching him grow and develop his cute little personality! At five weeks he gave me his first really big grin and continues to smile more and more everyday! I love it! When he gets whiny it is like his cue for me to put him on the floor to play! He absolutely LOVES to lay on the floor and just kick his little legs; he is such a little wiggler! He is so alert and constantly smiling at Josh and I; it is soooooo cute!
Some of the things that we do everyday are:
Tummy time
Watch movies (like Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Up, Cars he LOVES to watch them)
Bath time
Naps (of course)
Take pictures :)
Smile, Smile, and more Smiles
My little man is so cute and I love him to pieces! Here are some pics of his cuteness :).

Truly Blessed!
So I am sitting here in our living room with little Paxton snuggling with me (he is out cold on my chest) and couldn't stop thinking about how blessed I am to have this little man in my life. He truly is a gift from god!
I was reading a blog about a woman who is struggling with infertility (http://1pieceofme.blogspot.com/) and it brought me to tears. It makes me think back to when I was pregnant how much I complained about my aches, sicknesses, and sometimes about how I said I hated being pregnant; she would give anything to experience it and its as if I was taking it for granted! I can't believe I did that; I can't believe I could have ever complained about being pregnant with this precious little boy! Its as if I was overlooking how truly blessed I was in being able to be pregnant with him at all.
Her posts are so emotional and straightforward: she simply wants to become a mother, but can't. Now that I am a mother I can't imagine my life without him. I can't imagine my life not being able to be a mother.
Her testimony is so strong with everything she is going through and it really hit me hard. She was talking about a talk that she heard at the women's broadcast that was talking about motherhood and how important it was; how important women are to be able to bear and rear children and what a blessing it is to be able to do so. It is hard for me to put it into words how strong her testimony is so just go read her blog!
It is people like this that are able to have faith and perseverance through trials that are able to build my testimony of the gospel and remind me of all the blessings that I have in my life. Life is hard sometimes and we forget about all the things that we do have. I know that I have had my share of trials, but I need to always remember how important the gospel is and how it changes lives; how it changed my life.
Anyways, I am so happy that I am able to be a mother and I would go through it all again in a heartbeat! I really am blessed to have this little guy and love him so much!
